The kids love the soft play area. Always very busy it's a good idea to book a table a day before your visit.

Adults only and family sections with equipped play areas. Food is consistently tasty and served asap. Some of the staff have worked here happily for years and that's a bonus. I'm a regular visitor here.
We visit here a lot. The decor is great, food is lovely and reasonably priced, the selection of drinks is good, and the play area is fantastic for the kids. My favourite thing about the Sandpiper is the location. You can stuff your face then take a stroll around the lake to walk it off. The only thing that lets them down is the staff. Most of the time, some of them make you feel like a burden, like you're taking up their time. Not all of them though, some are lovely. They do a quiz on a Wednesday night but I only recommend going if you're over 40 as when we went our group ranged from 23 to 38 and we found it difficult as most of the questions were from before our time. The layout of the quiz was good though, some unusual rounds which kept it interesting. Overall it's a great place for a gathering with family/friends or a date night. I do recommend despite our visit christmas day being disappointing.
